How to fill in a Yacht Dice score sheet
Each player fills one box per turn, 13 turns in all. A box can be used once; if your dice fit nothing useful, you must still write a score — often a zero.
| Box | What you score | Example |
|---|---|---|
| Aces to Sixes | The total of the dice showing that number | 4-4-4-2-1 in Fours = 12 |
| Upper bonus | 35 if Aces to Sixes total 63 or more | Three of each number = 63 |
| 3 of a kind | Total of all five dice | 5-5-5-3-2 = 20 |
| 4 of a kind | Total of all five dice | 6-6-6-6-1 = 25 |
| Full house | 25 | 3-3-3-6-6 |
| Small straight | 30 | 1-2-3-4 + any die |
| Large straight | 40 | 2-3-4-5-6 |
| Yacht | 50 | Five of a kind |
| Chance | Total of all five dice | 6-5-4-4-1 = 20 |
| Yacht bonus | 100 for each extra Yacht | Only after a 50 in the Yacht box |
The upper-section bonus
Reach 63 points in Aces to Sixes and you add 35. 63 is exactly three of each number (3 + 6 + 9 + 12 + 15 + 18), so every four of a kind in the upper section gives you room to fall short elsewhere. The sheet shows the running upper total so you can see how far you are from the bonus.
Yacht bonus and joker rules
- Your first Yacht scores 50 in the Yacht box.
- Each further Yacht earns a 100-point bonus, as long as the Yacht box holds 50 (not 0).
- You must still fill a box with that roll: the matching upper box if it is open; otherwise any open lower box, where Full House, Small and Large Straight score their full 25, 30 and 40; otherwise a zero in an open upper box.
In the online sheet, enter the number of bonus Yachts in the Yacht bonus row; it multiplies by 100 for you.
Printing a blank Yacht Dice score card
Press “New game” to clear the sheet, choose how many players, then press “Print”. Only the score card prints — no menus or buttons — so one page covers up to four players. Print a stack before game night, or keep the sheet open on a phone and skip the paper.
Frequently Asked Questions
How many boxes are on a Yacht Dice score sheet?
Thirteen scoring boxes — six in the upper section and seven in the lower — plus the upper bonus, Yacht bonus and total lines.
What do you need to get the bonus in Yacht Dice?
A total of 63 or more in the upper section (Aces to Sixes). It is worth 35 points.
Can I score zero in a box?
Yes. When no open box suits your dice you must still choose one, and a zero there is often the smartest sacrifice.
Does the score sheet save my game?
It keeps your scores in this browser, so reloading the page does not wipe them. Press “New game” to start again.
Is this the official Yahtzee score card?
No. Yahtzee® is a trademark of Hasbro, and this site is not affiliated with Hasbro. This is an independent Yacht Dice score sheet that follows the same standard scoring.
Compare two legal boxes before recording the roll
For a final roll of 2, 2, 3, 3, 3, the threes box scores 9, three of a kind scores the dice total of 13, and a full house scores 25 if that box is open. Choosing one box consumes it for the rest of the game; the other possible scores are not added as well. Check the upper-section bonus target before deciding. The largest immediate score can be attractive, but keeping a useful category open changes what later rolls can earn.
