Solitaire Duel is a live two-player race. Sign in and choose a variant to join its queue. A match begins when another player joins the same game, and both receive identical starting cards.

How to play

  1. Choose Klondike, Spider or FreeCell. Klondike races draw one card at a time; Spider races use two suits.
  2. Play your own board while following the opponent’s progress. You cannot move their cards.
  3. The first player to finish wins. After 12 minutes, unfinished boards are compared by cards completed, then by fewer hidden cards; equal progress is a draw.
  4. A brief disconnect allows 25 seconds to reconnect. Returning restores accepted moves. Leaving an active race counts as resigning.

Example

If time expires in FreeCell with one player having 30 cards on foundations and the other 28, the player with 30 wins. With all cards visible, equal foundation progress produces a draw.

Playing tip

Make useful progress before taking a risky rearrangement. A race can finish on time, so uncovering cards and completing foundations both matter.
