Delete Your Account
You can permanently delete your Spades Online account and every piece of data linked to it. This page explains what is removed, how to do it yourself, and how to request it by email.
Delete it yourself
If you can still sign in, this is the fastest route and the deletion happens immediately:
- Sign in to spades-online.co with the account you want to remove.
- Open the account menu and go to Settings.
- Scroll to the Danger Zone at the bottom of the page and press Delete Account.
- Confirm with your password, or by typing the confirmation word if you play as a guest.
Request deletion by email
If you cannot sign in - for example you lost access to your email, or you played as a guest on a device you no longer have - send us a request from the email address linked to the account. Use the subject "Account deletion" and include your display name so we can find the account. We verify every request before acting on it and complete verified deletions within 30 days.
What gets deleted
- Your profile: display name, avatar URL, email address and account creation date.
- Your credentials: the bcrypt hash of your password, plus any active session, refresh, verification and password reset tokens.
- Your device records: every stored device id, browser fingerprint hash and user agent string linked to the account.
- Your social graph: friendships in both directions, pending friend requests, and every game invitation you sent or received.
- Your progression: XP, level, ranked LP, ranked games and wins, and every per-match progress record.
- Your notifications, and your seats in any game room you are still part of.
What is not deleted
Finished matches remain in our aggregate game statistics, but your account id is stripped from them, so the remaining records cannot be traced back to you. Server logs that contain no personal data may persist for a short period for security and diagnostics. We keep nothing that would let us restore or re-identify a deleted account.
Guest accounts
Previously created guest accounts can be deleted in Settings by typing the confirmation word if no password is registered. Deletion removes the device link. Reopening the site does not automatically create a new guest account; register or sign in to play again.
Timing and consequences
Deletion from Settings is immediate and irreversible. Email requests are completed within 30 days of verification. A deleted account cannot be restored, progress cannot be transferred to another account, and the email address becomes free to register again.
