Open a table and the game takes over the window: the felt, your hand and the bidding panel scale to fit, on a laptop or a phone. There is no separate full-screen mode to switch on and nothing to install.

On a computer you can hide the tabs and address bar too: press F11 in Chrome, Edge or Firefox on Windows, or Control + Command + F on a Mac. Press the same keys, or Esc, to leave full screen.

In Chrome on Android, open the browser menu and choose Install app or Add to Home screen. On an iPhone or iPad, tap Share in Safari and choose Add to Home Screen. Opened from that icon, Spades Online runs in its own window without the browser’s address bar.

Every table is free. Practise against bots without an account, or make a free account for online matchmaking, rooms with friends and ranked games. Coins are virtual and cannot be bought or cashed out.

There is nothing to download from an app store: you need a current browser and an internet connection. Bot games also run on the server, so there is no offline mode.

Play vs Bots starts straight away with a bot partner and two bot opponents. Play Online matches you with real people for 2v2 Spades, and a friends room lets you invite your own table. Spades Duel is the one-on-one version for two players.
