Play Spades with Friends: Private Rooms and Invite Links
Create a private Spades room, copy a join link, find players and invite friends. Check seats, readiness and coin entry before starting your 2v2 game.
Use a friends room when you want to arrange a Spades table with people you know. The room gives you a join link and player invitation controls. Each player signs in on their own device; sharing a room link does not mean sharing an account.
Create Your Private Spades Room
Sign in, open Spades and choose Play with Friends. Create a room, review the settings and check the entry amount against your virtual coin balance. Share the room only after it is created, so your friends receive a link to the intended table.
Copy a Link and Let Friends Join Directly
Use the room’s copy-link button and send the link to your group. A friend who is already signed in can follow it into that room. A friend who needs to sign in first should continue with the invitation after authentication. Keep the host’s room open while everyone joins.
Find Players and Send an Invitation
The room’s player search can find players beyond your existing friend list. Search for the player, add them as a friend when appropriate and use the room invitation action. The invitation notification gives the recipient another route to the room. An invitation is not a reserved seat: check who has actually joined.
Choose Seats and Mark Ready
Classic Spades has four seats in two partnerships, with partners opposite each other. Check the seating and ask everyone to mark ready. Follow the host controls and room status for the next step. If seats are still missing, use the options actually offered by the room rather than assuming they will be filled automatically.
If an Invite Does Not Open the Expected Table
Check that your friend is using the latest room link and the intended account. A finished or closed room cannot be joined as a new match; create a new room and copy its new link. If the room is full or a game is already underway, follow the displayed message. For joining strangers instead, choose the public matchmaking mode.
Frequently Asked Questions
Must we add each other as friends before sharing a link?
No. The room link is a direct invitation route. You can also find players, manage friendships and send room invitations from the room.
Can friends play on phones and computers together?
Yes. Each player uses their own browser and account with an internet connection.
Does sending an invite start the game?
No. Players must join and the room must reach its required readiness state. Follow the host controls and room status.
